Hey, amymiiichelle here.

I was asked today why I was a vegan and it got me thinking that I don't explain it very well, I usually just yell and say obnoxious things.
The truth is, I don't eat meat or animal products because I feel like there's enough suffering in the world. I'll take what the world offers up to me (i.e. fruit, veggies & anything from a plant) but I will not take what isn't mine for the sake of filling my stomach. I love animals, they are truly my friends and I can't cause them undue suffering. What is the difference between your dog that sleeps at your bedside every night and that hunk of steak on your plate at suppertime? To me, there is no difference. It isn't like they don't feel it just as you or I would, they scream when their throats are cut and their blood drips down their bodies. If the world was a perfect place, there would be no killing; shouldn't we all try to make it as perfect as is in our power?
